Journey to iml 2019

Entering IML 41 has been a big step for me. 

I know that the most obvious question is 'Why and I not Asian?'

That does not matter to me as I represent the whole leather community. I see this as an incredible opportunity to show the world our leather community, however small, that exists in Hong Kong and in greater Asia. 

I researched entering IML and gave it a lot of thought to the implications and effects on my life as a result of participating. 

It takes time away from the people you love and your work. There are cost implications, and you have to be comfortable “putting it all out there”. 

In the end, I decided to take the plunge for a few reasons:

First, I think that raising awareness of the leather brotherhood in Asia is a good thing, visibility within the community is important and necessary for its growth and development.

Secondly, I believe the journey on a personal level has value in and of itself. Leading to a deeper understanding of myself and who I am as a Leatherman and how I can contribute.

Finally, I want to show the rest of the world we do exist here in Asia.

So, do I have a shot at IML 2019?
